This lighthouse, situated between the parishes of São Mateus and São Caetano, operates on solar energy. It was built atop the geological formation of Laje do Cavalo and is located close to the Prainha do Galeão Harbor, the Pontinha das Formigas promontory, and Ponta Alta, with the imposing backdrop of Pico Mountain.
